Toowoomba Prep plans to go to Year 12

On Wednesday 7 November 2012, Toowoomba Prep officially announced its vision for the school which ensures the continuity of quality of education excellence. We plan to expand from the current model of Preschool to Year 7 to a full Preschool to Year 12 model. This would be achieved in a staged introduction of grades, which commenced with the school providing the new secondary curriculum for Year 7 this year and would be followed by the introduction of Year 8 in 2014. To put this expansion into context, our current Year 6 students could potentially be the first Year 12 graduates, six years from now in 2018.

Set in five beautiful hectares in Toowoomba in south east Queensland, Prep has an outlook to Table Top Mountain and the mountains of the beautiful Lockyer Valley. Because of the altitude, the climate is mild.

Prep enters exciting new era with K to Year 12 announcement.

For over one hundred years The Toowoomba Preparatory School has provided an outstanding primary educational program and nurturing boarding environment second to none.

We are now planning to extend these exceptional offerings into secondary year levels. This will be achieved through a staged introduction of secondary grades, which commenced with the school providing the new secondary curriculum for Year 7 this year and will be followed by the introduction of Year 8 in 2014. This means our current Year 6 students could potentially be our first Year 12 graduates, six years from now in 2018.

This exciting new vision for The Toowoomba Preparatory School will allow our students to experience a complete education from Kindergarten through to Year 12 and we invite your family to join us in making this vision a reality.
