The Chapel Choir

The Chapel Choir is one of seven choirs in the school. Its special role is to bring musical leadership to the services in our Chapel of St Aidan. Each of the 14 Choral Scholars holds a Vocal Scholarship valued at 40% of the tuition fee.

In recent years, the Chapel Choir has become renowned for the quality of its singing with successes in eisteddfods and other musical activities well beyond the school's precincts.

Choral Scholarships

Choral Scholarships are available to students of outstanding vocal ability. They are advertised in July/August each year and application forms are available from the School Office. Students do need to be competent in one musical instrument prior to making application. Vocal talent is also necessary.

Once applications have closed, a selection committee appraises each applicant and the awarding of scholarships is usually announced in the September/October vacation.

For choral scholars, it is a wonderfully enriching experience. Their potential is challenged with beautiful, varied and complex music.
