The curriculm and the school structure

We believe every educational context is unique.

Our curriculum is organised around the key learning areas nominated by the national curriculum. It is enhanced by other programs to make the learning experience meaningful, stimulating and linked to other knowledge, attitudes and skills.

Key subject areas include:

  • English
  • mathematics
  • studies of society and the environment
  • a language other than English
  • technology
  • health
  • physical education
  • the arts

Additional areas are...

  • religious education
  • study skills
  • life skills
  • human relationships

Literacy and numeracy are vitally important. So is information and communication technology. We also provide programs to expand and enrich the learning process and we help students who experience learning difficulties.

Learning is for the whole person.

. .

We believe in discipline. We foster the inner discipline that comes with mastery of self and subject. This must match the age and stage of the child.

. .

Most of our formal instruction in class is in year groups. But there are many opportunities for students to learn together in a group of mixed age, boys and girls.
