Commencing in 1911, Prep has enjoyed a proud history.
From an initial enrolment of 17 students nearly a century ago, 500 boys and girls now enjoy the excellent educational programs and exceptional opportunities that are offered.
Over the decades, a range of wonderful traditions from the distinctive school cap to the emphasis upon good manners have become part of the very fabric of Prep. Our heritage is important to us for it helps to shape who we are and, at the same time, provides a springboard to look confidently to the future.
Beginning with the founder, Mr Ernest Gill, Prep has been fortunate to have had a number of outstanding educators to chart its direction. Each has brought a unique interpretation to the vision and, as a consequence, a richness of learning has resulted.
It has been indeed fortunate that the school has occupied the same site from its inception. New facilities have replaced old buildings. However, the ambience of the school that is truly a village and located in such a picturesque location lives today for the children in the same way as it did 97 years ago.
