We believe in coeducation
Boys and girls growing and learning together is the natural setting for tomorrow’s citizens. Here, today, there will be boys who will one day work for women and there are girls who, if they want to claim their place in the world, will need to know how to relate to men.
The primary school is the place where the values associated with recognition and acknowledgment of the attributes and sensitivities of others are found.
We focus on children
Our focus is on the needs of children. This makes us very different from many independent schools which tend to be large secondary schools with a primary department that often feels overwhelmed by its secondary counterpart.
We create an environment conducive to growth for pre-adolescent students
Prep children enjoy the full extension of their childhood with all the fun, friendship-building and emerging responsibilities that come from it. At Prep, we want our children to grow safely and happily in a manner that lets them step off at the end of Year 7 with confidence about the next stage.
Well taught, happy and safe
Ask yourself these questions:
- Is my child well-taught at the School?
- Is my child happy at the School?
- Is my child safe at the School?
The answer should be yes.
Our teachers are highly professional and are willing to go out of their way to seek to meet the needs of individuals. Naturally, there will be some days that are better than others but, in essence, a happy child learns well and grows well.
We continually adjust our policies and practice to make our school a safe place. We have zero tolerance for bullying.
We focus on learning in a nurturing and stimulating environment where we treat every child as an individual.
Challenge, discovery and achievement are at the heart of a Prep education.
